Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, GAA's dedicated piano instructors are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. Our faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your instruction.
We offer piano lessons to all of lower Fairfield and upper Westchester County communities. Students rated their private piano tutors in Stamford 5 out of 5. Let your musical journey begin here, and now!
Our piano teachers are warm and friendly, and get to know each member and their parent on a personal level. When you enroll at the Academy, we'll begin with an evaluation to determine initially what your strengths and challenges are. We work with each individual or parent to craft a lesson plan that fits the student's unique needs, favorite type of music, and helps you learn piano in the most efficient way.
Whether you're playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the piano after many years, your piano instructor will share their love for the piano and help you set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
We teach all styles, from rock, pop and jazz to country, blues and classical.
Our piano faculty have received their education from prestigious institutions such as University of California at Berkeley, Berklee College of Music, Music For The Media, and University of California at Los Angeles. Many of our highly qualified piano teachers have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience.
Performing Arts instructors have unique teaching styles and musical philosophies -- which is an advantage for members (both children and adults) in their lessons when you have the opportunity to work with more than one teacher. Your playing skills grow faster when more eyes (and minds) are on the goal.
Whether you want to learn Bach or Billy Joel, our teachers are dedicated to helping you become the pianist you want to be. They will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, ear training, music theory, and incorporate your favorite songs as you learn to play piano.
Intermediate to advanced pianists can explore classical, jazz, rock, pop, blues, wherever their interests lie. In addition, members can learn improvisation, that skill where you just sit down and "make it up." That's mostly a question of ear training. If you're feeling brave, why not add voice lessons to the mix? Then you can play as you sing!
Remember, your music education isn't just a time-filling "enrichment activity." Learning piano puts you in a straight line of tradition going back centuries. You're part of history! And the benefits of music instruction to your brain are well known. Better grades, higher self-assurance, lower stress. Now that's pretty cool.
No. Beginners (both kids and adults) are welcome! There are modern techniques to teach note-reading that make it fairly quick and easy. And the benefits of music reading are too many to even mention here. Your teacher will fill you in!
No, you do not need a piano at home to take piano lessons. A simple full-size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first six months. We can suggest a variety of keyboards for beginners, starting at just $99.00.
